José Miguel Cánovas adquiere el 100% acquires 100% of the MurciaEconomía group and takes full control of it. In a strategic move that opens a new stage for the economic daily. Cánovas, which was already part of the media structure, has acquired all the shares, thus consolidating its control over the company.
The new president of MurciaEconomia has extensive experience in managing companies for more than two decades, especially in the real estate sector, in all its aspects, as well as in the comprehensive planning of all departments. He is currently CEO of the company Inmopolt and participates in various boards of directors in the business world.

Since its foundation, MurciaEconomia has stood out as a reference for the economic information of the Region. Now, with this change in ownership, a new phase of consolidation and expansion is expected.

New challenges
Among these new projects, is the organization of the first days of Murcia Economy – Defense organized together with the Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia (UCAM) . An initiative aimed at analysing the technological, industrial and operational aspects of the defence economy in the Region. The initiative, led by Federico Trillo-Figueroa, former Minister of Defense and non-executive chairman of the MurciaEconomia Group, will take place over four days distributed in each season of the year, aims to provide an integrated view of the present and future possibilities of the defence industry.
An activity that adds to the initiatives already undertaken under the direction of José Cabezos, CEO of the medium, such as the presentation of Radio MurciaEconomia at the Chamber of Commerce of Murcia for the 1st edition of the MurciaEconomía Awards held at the El Batel Auditorium in Cartagena.
